Lamar Hurd

Obviously, I don't think Sacramento is going to be a great team, but they do have some talent.

I think Lamar Hurd pointed out in the beginning of the game, their starting five is pretty good.

They just don't have a lot of guys to go to on the bench.

But ultimately, it's a win, and you get out of there, and you take the win.

He hits a three, comes down, does a step back, deep three.

It's the highlight that it's going around everywhere right now where Lamar Hurd kind of loses his mind.

Hits, just buries it like a moonshot.

Two in a row, the Blazers get a stop.

one play I wanted to point out to that effect.

It'd be better if I knew the player he was guarding, but the play... um was it it might have been devin booker i but um but it led to a denny steel and if you saw the play you might look at the steel but what preceded the steel was denny moving laterally really effectively getting in the way putting himself in position to get the steel that i mean it honestly was so encouraging and it's like yeah denny like for a guard you're pretty big if you're able to put your body where it needs to be quickly enough You don't need to be an all-defensive player, but that will be more than enough.

I was proud of myself because I paused the game, I pointed out to Cassie, and then Lamar Hurd pointed out his body position.

I was like, I told you! I

I mean, this came across my desk like a month or two ago, and it was like, well, how am I going to pull this off? And I remembered I was the guy who said okay to being a broadcaster for the Blazers from Charlotte.

where the games are tipping off at 10 o'clock at night and I'm calling the game with Kevin Calabro and Lamar Hurd and Brooke Olsendam and I thought that was crazy but going on the road to cover a team that's the most exciting interesting fascinating team in the NBA right now I just thank LeBron that I'm not the only one who's going to be commuting into this.

So thank you, LeBron, for laying down the path for me, not just once in my career back in 2010, but also in 2016.

It is, I mean, 2026.

They'll do a good job.

Lamar is a pro.

Brooke is a pro.

Like, maybe the graphics aren't, won't, won't be as sharp, and there's some chaos behind the scenes, and I know no one over there is particularly happy with any of this.

I think he does good at that, and he's worked hard to get in this position, and I hope he's able to take this and, uh, and run with it.

So am I too...

So Lamar Hurd stays.

Yes.
