Lamar Consolidated High School

We recently had Tim Martin the CEO of Special Olympics Texas on to interview him to talk about Special Olympics in Texas and when I think of that of competitive athletes I think of you tell us a little bit about some of the things that you're doing in Special Olympics right now

right now next week I'll be going to Melissa Texas outside of Dallas for the summer games I'll be doing track this year I'll be doing the shot put relay and 100 meter dash I just had a track meet just last weekend at Lamar Consolidated High School where I went to high school at and yeah I took gold and shot put gold on the relay and second on the 100 meter dash and but yeah I'm I'm getting ready for state next week and looking forward to it'll be a step competition because you're facing athletes from the entire state of Texas so I'm excited for a challenge, but overall, I'm looking forward to being up there next week and outside of Dallas.

I feel so fortunate because you text me all the time and send me videos of your four by 100 or your shot put or in the gym working on your three pointer.

I know how hard you work.

Ernest Jackson just needed an opportunity.

After attending Lamar Consolidated High School in Texas, Jackson took his talents to College Station.

There, he'd play in a talented backfield alongside fellow running back Johnny Hector and quarterback Gary Kubiak.

Jackson produced over 2,000 scrimmage yards over his four years at Texas A&M, with his best season coming as a junior.
