You have the glaciers shrinking, potentially disappearing in the future.

And you also have the big lakes like the, the Thunersee or Lake Constance that used to be this sort of overflow capacity that would keep the river topped up year-round are also shrinking due to more water evaporating from them.

So this whole delicate balance is really being thrown out of whack and makes it much harder to predict what the water level will be at any point.

What I love most is the moment you reach the top and the view opens up in front of you.

So Lake Thun lies on one side and Lake Brienz on the other, and Interlaken directly between them.

And when you look across the valley, you see the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau rising in the distance.

And up there, the Two Lakes Bridge is the classic viewpoint and, of course, a very popular place for photographs.
