Actually, it makes me also wonder what the tech system, yeah, no, I won't get into that just yet.

Someone was worried about the road between Tekapo and Omarama being closed, but it looks to me on NZTA that that is open.

Marks, we're travelling from Twizel to Cromwell tomorrow and NZTA is saying Omarama to Terrace Lindis is closed till October 2nd.

Would any listeners know what's happening? I did hear an accident earlier on, but it is saying that it is open.

But anyway, in rural news, State Highway 87 between Middlemarch and Outram in Otago was closed by snow overnight, while flooding shut State Highway 96 at Oriti Plains in Southland, according to the NZ Transport Agency.

This morning, Linda's Pass recorded minus 1.9 degrees, while the Crown Range got down to 2.3 and Tekapo minus 0.9, which is really cold for this time of year, but we usually get a blast of snow, don't we, Jamie?

And of course, there's an awful lot of people travel through parts of the country without staying there.

So Mackenzie, Tekapo in particular, have huge numbers of visitors, but very few staying there.

So there'll be a few challenges to work through.

And then, of course, there's Wayne Brown, mayor of the country's biggest city by far, and not afraid to speak his mind.

So we got talking about a bunch of places.
