I grew up in Reston, Virginia.

I was just at Lake Anne with a friend having some tea this morning.

Yeah.

I love Northern Virginia.

And we were invited to attend, so maybe we'll be going there on the 27th.

So it's going to be held at Reston Community Center over at Lake Anne on October 27th, starting at 6:30.

And the guy that is organ- the founder of it, his name is Michael Graham.

Um, he's also going to be featured on a TED Talk on October 24th.

And, um, you know, that's a, that's, that's a cool thing.

Love to see this outdoors too.

I think, uh, I was talking, we were talking to s- one longtime owner of a business over in, um, in Lake Anne.

They said they used to bring...

It was at one point it was house and grass and fields.

Then we had Lake Anne and Village Center.

And then we had how it grew out in these communities forming.

And it's just wonderfully keeping going the way it is.

Inquiring minds want to know.

So before it was Lake Audubon, it was Lake Elsa, named after Bob Simon's mother.

And Lake Anne was named after his wife? One of his wives.

Yeah.

A regional transit commission will consider a staff report in December.

Supervisors have cleared the way for a larger Reston Community Center facility near Lake Anne.

They unanimously allowed up to 30,000 square feet of non-residential space at the Crescent apartment site, where the county's housing authority has proposed up to 750 new apartments.

Supervisor Walter Alcorn called it a big step forward, but said financing still needs work.

And then we go on.

on the plaza and most of us head on over to grab a beer over at Lake Anne brew house, but it's just really fun.

You know, I like to get dressed up, so I'm all about it.

And then the other thing I was thinking, you know, like the energy that they're going to bring sort of like if you think about some of these other breweries that have, you know, popped up over the years that we've taken for granted now.

But, you know, you're the Lake Anne Brewhouse before Lake Anne Brewhouse came to Lake Anne for a time.

Lake Anne was a little sleepy.

It was quiet.

And so now it's got some new life.

It's the day after Halloween, November 1st at 1 o'clock.

So it's a really fun event, and I participate every year.

We all dress up as witches or warlocks or whatever costume you have, and we go out on the stand-up paddle boards and we glide across Lake Anne and go hit the brew house
