Lahaina Civic Center

Shelters on Maui will be open tomorrow at noon.

They include the Lahaina Civic Center, South Maui Community Park Gym in Kihei, and Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pahala.

Hana High and Elementary will also be open on Maui, along with Molokai's Kilohana Recreation Center in Kaunakakai.

Maui County meanwhile has opened two temporary service sites for those impacted by extended power outages and road closures.

They are available in West Maui at the Lahaina Civic Center and the Velma Wayne Santos Community Center in Wailuku.

These sites are offering charging stations, but visitors must bring their own food, water, medication, and pets must be in crates.

And here on Oahu, this is what Farrington Highway looked like this morning after heavy waves crashed onto the road, washing sand across all four lanes.

And as much as I am a proponent of all home and homes in the non-con, let's get college campus environments, et cetera.

I'm taking the Lahaina Civic Center because I love watching games there.

The camera is down low enough that you feel like you're at the venue.

You also get the benefit of the Maui rims, which means we're going to have some pretty aesthetically pleasing games with a lot of offense.

That, I think, exudes on the TV the amount of rabid fans and how they're on top of the court and just that small venue cracker box type thing.

So I love the Maui Invitational.
