I think that's the most compositionally fruitful of the songs.

One of the travesties of the otherwise brilliant Capitol Hey Jude compilation is it had almost all of the singles on it and left the B-side of Lady Madonna, Inner Light, off of it.

So Inner Light was not on an American Beatles album until Rarities.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer, he used it on.

And a tiny bit on, I believe it was Hello, Goodbye and Lady Madonna.

Yeah, you can really start to hear them get their footing and really start to evolve into the later Beatles here.

Well, yeah, and that descending thing was kind of a McCartney trick that he used on those later songs.
