The Laclede County Republican Central Committee and the Laclede County Republican Club will host a free chili supper to meet the candidates on October 13th at 530 to 730 at the downtown Pocket Park on Madison Street in Lebanon.

The event will allow voters to meet with Representative Melissa Schmidt.

of the 141st District, Republican nominee for the 142nd District, Dr. Jeff Brown, and District 16 Senate nominee Bill Hardwick.

And what that does is it gives stability for those employees.

So the employer doesn't worry about them missing work or needing to find a different, even higher paying job because they can't get resources here.

We have such a wonderful blessing of resources in Laclede County that I haven't seen in other smaller communities at all.

And it's because our community has been able to support them for 25 years.

But there is a problem, my friend, because that's exactly what happened during the Ron Paul campaign in Laclede County.

Those individuals got together and learned how to run a caucus before the caucus ever started.

Then they got involved in the caucus, and because politics is a numbers game, they showed up with many more numbers than the opposition had, and they took over the caucus.

Laclede County was one of the only counties in the state that sent delegates to the State of Missouri Convention for Ron Paul, because they took over their caucus to begin with.

Morgan County, yeah.

And when we actually had the majority and the stuff and it just didn't come through and they knew the system well enough and they had it kind of planned out to where they were able to steamroll us.
