Well...

Not only do I think it from personal experience, but we know it because we ran an excellent piece of research that was commissioned from the Labour Research Department last year that surveyed members' attitudes towards democracy in UCU, various other aspects of the unions running.

and it was really really clear message there that people feel like a strong identification with their branch you know they're the people that are maybe in your department the people that you see around campus people that you are literally organizing when it comes to picket lines and so on so the branch is so important so what we're going to do with this strategy is really try and put the branches right at the very heart of it so think about you know One, you know, how do we keep branches involved and informed about everything that we do? So part of that is carrying on.
