They and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers can finish a lot of different places.

The Roughriders, by losing in Montreal, by losing to Calgary the week before and losing the season series, and basically by losing every game that they've played since Labor Day, the Roughriders have skidded their way down into a situation that they didn't expect when they were 6-2.

And remember, I pointed out last podcast, nobody with a 6-2 record in the season has ever missed the playoffs that season.

The Roughriders could finish all the way out of the playoffs or finish as high as third.

Saskatchewan 9-9, Calgary 9-9, Calgary is through.

It's only when Winnipeg joins them that the Stampeders fall back.

Winnipeg's been up and down, and of course, Saskatchewan got off to that hot, hot start, but have certainly cooled off since Labor Day.

These teams, especially the Roughriders, they could have locked up a playoff spot a lot earlier if they'd have had some sustained success in the second half of the season.

Um, this reminds me of a season we had a decade ago where we didn't have a passing touchdown the last five games of the season, but we had three interceptions.

Right now we've gone the last three games, the last time we had a passing touchdown was the Labor Day rematch.
