Lab/Shul

Our journey goes on.

I'm Rabbi Amichala Olavi, and you've been listening to Aleph Bet, a production of Ein Press, Reboot Studios, and LabShul.

Our production team includes Tom Haviv, Eden Pearlstein, Noam Dromi, Avi Carrillo, Joey Fishground, and Alexis Cuadrado, who also composed our theme music with haunting vocals by Basia Schechter.

Thank you, Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah for their generous support.

Listen to the voice from on high and deep within, the one that says, I'm calling you to a place which I will show you and take the first small step into the surprising sun.

You can say I'm a digital nomad.

I was ordained as a rabbi at the Jewish Theological Seminary, and I am the co-founder and spiritual leader of Lab/Shul, an artist-driven, everybody-friendly, God-optional pop-up experimental community for sacred Jewish gatherings based in New York City, serving the world.

Lab/Shul is where this Aleph Bet course was born.

I had a really fun drag queen career, um, a storyteller, and a minor movie star.

Check out Sabbath Queen.
