LA Shorts Fest

Grace recently debuted her short film, The Country They Call Life.

It debuted this summer at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, and it explores an unplanned pregnancy from the inside out.

It is told from a surreal and deeply personal perspective and from a deconstructed religious point of view.

I think this conversation is such an interesting expansion on what we normally talk about here, because while our religious backgrounds may be different, there are so many experiences that can overlap when you grow up being told who you're supposed to be, what choices you're supposed to make, and what it means to be a good woman.

Film Invasion was our second physical festival.

We had an online festivals before that, too, and then we had LA Shorts, and, uh, and then it was your festival, and we're still continuing, and I feel like there are so many more festivals to go to, and I'm already tired.

[laughs] But it's a, it's a great experience.

Um, and I love doing this.

It did a premiere.
