For this album, they worked with the producer Gigi Guth, a.k.a. Guth Richardson, who had helmed Rage Against the Machine's debut album.

He also worked with L7, The Jesus Lizard, and The Melvins, among others.

So he's renowned as a hard rock slash metal specialist, basically.

We've obviously heard from Skunk Anansi before with Week and Charity, both of which got to number 20.

He finished this prior to his passing last year.

Another book completed before an important artist's untimely and tragic passing is Jennifer Finch's Shooting Up and Making Out, a memoir of my life in L.A. and L7, out January 19, 2027 on Decapo.

I believe the first memoir by a member of the band L7.

That, dear listeners, was L7, with their cover of Agent Orange's Bloodstains, originally released on a 7-inch comp called Teriyaki Asthma.

That was released back in 1990.

It was re-released a couple of times, most recently on that Fast and Frightening comp in 2016 on the Easy Action label.

American touring bands, especially those on the roster of whatever Pav was calling his touring business at the time, would stop by and visit this too-cool-to-be-true school.

Sonic Youth, L7, Bikini Kill and others all visited.

Hull donated guitars, and Pav would give some of their bands a slot at Melbourne shows.

Sourpuss were the most promising band to come from the rock and roll high school, and they played Pav's 1995 music festival, Somersault.

And those two tracks, Big Time Sensuality and Army of May, yeah, absolutely get me going.
