Kyocera Corporation

What? This is true, sort of.

So Kyocera is a Japanese company, and it makes and sells Printers and copy machines, and they've partnered with Xerox now.

But what is Kyocera doing in the opal business, you're asking me? They're making money.

They're not really making opals, though.

So these, like, air quotes stones, they are marketed hilariously, so deceptively as Kyoto opals, but they take months to make.

Okay.

Either way, if you're in a lab making opalite right now and you're listening to this and you're like, "Hey, I'm not a man," I see you.

Also, yes, Gilson or Kyocera or Kyoto opals are synthetic.
