Kyle Yates

And this is just more, like, I guess for both of you guys, when you have friends, and I don't really see you do this with your friends on the court.

Like, I've never seen you really chirp with, like, Hunter or Yates or Fed.

But you were chirping hard with, uh, well, Hayden more so, that you kept taking these long towel timeouts.

[laughs] Like an MLB.

Yeah, you might, you might not- Who? Who?

I think Alex Strong.

Kyle Yates? Yeah, Alex Strong said it.

Kyle Yates.

Welcome to today's edition of The Ernie.

I'm your host, Liam Oyo, and it is an honor and a privilege to welcome today's guest, pickleball legend and fellow Florida Gator and pickleball OG, Kyle Yates.

A multiple number one, multiple time national champion and back-to-back coach for Team USA at the Pickleball World Cup, Kyle's one of the pioneers of our sport.

While some call him the original Pickleball Goat, he prefers the title Pickleball OG.

He's someone I look forward to.

Advice is a friend, player, and coach, and I'm always learning from his experiences.

Andiamo! Let's get into today's episode with Pickleball OG, Kyle Yates.

We head out to the Ernie Studios.

And, um, remember there is no Christian Alshon.

Also, by the way, Kyle Yates, former GOAT, OG, made a return.

He did.

Yeah.

Kyle Yates-

So

... which is interesting 'cause-

I c-

I have a question about a shot.

How about the Kyle Yates? Were you a Kyle Yates fan?

Yeah.

So what is that shot called? The, when you're, it's the backhand, like, I have no idea

Yeah, what is it...

We're gonna get this here in a second, but what is it? I saw that you won pickleball, won back-to-back titles at the inaugural 2022 and 2023 Pickleball Celebrity Pro-Am tournaments, alongside former UF tennis player Kyle Yates.

Oh, yeah.

That was, that's, that was a little more of a rigged thing.
