yes good stuff right similar premise not not really similar premise but Women are on an island that they need to be tough to get their shit out of there.
T
43:48TadHOST
So the one I read when Kyle Starks was on, he talked about the stuff that Jeff Johns has been doing recently, his own little universe that I hadn't.
T
44:04TadHOST
I hadn't really given enough attention to, um, cause Jeff Johns isn't always my thing, but Kyle, when, when Kyle Stark speaks highly of something and you need to pick an image book from the twenties, that's part of the humble bundle.
T
44:17TadHOST
It's, it's a good reason.

My guest again tonight is Mr. Kyle Starks, whose newest Kickstarter, Luis Sprouse Stole My Heart, and I've got two hours to get it back, uh, launched at 10:00 AM this morning, and is already across the finish line.
T

So now you're essentially just ordering the book.
T
0:22TadHOST
Um, I, I, I got to, to read it today and, and in typical Kyle fashion, it was, it was, it was, it was funny, and bloody, and, and, and, and all of the good stuff.

But, um, but yeah, Kyle Starks, I, I, I bought that Kickstarter and, uh, I don't think I bought anything else wrestling-related.

Marvel Mangaverse Ghost Lock, issue one, written by Alyssa Wong, with art by Michael... yg yg simple
N
62:43Nick FriarHOST
i think it's what it is um but yeah i'll be checking out gambit gone and the infernal hulk versus wolverine uh first issues but i gotta say i i probably check out the muppets take the marvel universe because i think i think kyle starks has a story in there i'm pretty sure chip has a story in there i'm not sure who else but uh actually i've seen it right now chip and uh chip has definitely got one in there but um i i will say like When I saw this, I know like, you know, Dynamite does stuff with a lot of Disney properties and then they do some other ones that like other licensed titles and everything.
N
63:15Nick FriarHOST
But I was like, it just, it felt like it, and the timing doesn't add up, but it felt like Muppets Noir did really well.
N
63:24Nick FriarHOST
And then Marvel was like, Oh, you know, we're going to go do our own Muppets thing as well.
Character Development and Eviscerations Go Hand In Hand
N
18:07Nick WhitePANELIST
palmer um the characters are expressive and distinctive they've sort of got like a kirby-esque perspective on anatomy and figure drawing and by that i mean they've flushed the conventional ideas out you know down the drain out the window forget it um You've got very boxy and blocky forms and contorted into strong angular poses.
N
18:31Nick WhitePANELIST
I think modern contemporaries that, again, I said Palmer is very much, his work is visually all of his own, but I would make some faint comparisons to Junie Ba, Kyle Starks, Jesse Lonergan, and of course the aforementioned Kirby.
N
18:48Nick WhitePANELIST
Um, yeah.
N
18:50Nick WhitePANELIST
So, um, I, I would say everyone should at least take a look at the art.

J
6:40JoeHOST
And then I got around to, you know, Kyle Starks released the last sort of chapter of his Where Monsters Lie story through Kickstarter, and I read that, and, man, it is awesome.
J
6:54JoeHOST
it is awesome it ties the story up in a great bow there's a lot of great action there's some great callbacks um he went all out it was awesome so uh i'm sure we got i should have looked up if there's some ways that you still kind of get your hands on it um through his website or it's gotta be something but it was awesome yeah i have it too and
N
7:15Nick FriarHOST
i for some reason haven't checked it out yeah i've also been meaning to do that recently um I'm going to put you on the spot here.
