Yeah, that's 24 points above the Mendoza line, so you're on to something.

But it looked like he might be a top five catcher for 2027, and I guess one thing that helps is everyone else at catcher has been bad in the second half, so he's not alone.

It's like Kyle Raleigh and Gabriel Moreno have been great, and everybody else has been terrible.

Um, and so that helps.

But yeah, I think this was a guy that, you know, we looked at and said, "Okay, he might be an elite catcher." The underlying numbers were certainly there.

Um, really good to see Kyle Raleigh finishing strong seemingly.

I mean, I know there's about 18 days left.

We'll see if that changes, but we needed to see something from him, and we are.

And I, I don't think that means you should take Kyle Raleigh as if 2025, 2026 never happened.

It did, and we saw what the downside can look like for him.

But I do think it's pretty clear that the oblique injuries he played through were causing him a lot of problems.

But the power upside there is instantly some of the best on the Mariners.

I'm not going to say it's right there with Kyle Raleigh because we saw what Kyle Raleigh did a year ago.

Even in a down year right now, he still has more power potential than Montez, but it's up there.

And they just need to try whatever they can get to get over that hump and get back to the postseason after getting so close to the World Series last year.

I mean, dude's like...

I mean, with Shayling, he was going down and Kyle Raleigh having the season that he's having.

I know he's been hitting the ball well again recently, but like Goodman, I mean, what him and Drake Baldwin, different offensive approaches, but like Goodman has been the best hitting catcher this year.

It'll be a huge question and you'll, we'll be able to learn a lot of how the Rockies are managing the rest of this rebuild or whatever the hell they're doing is what they do with Hunter Goodman.

So on the, the home run early from Raleigh, right? We had heard in the Schneider meeting earlier this morning they were hoping to see more sinkers and fewer four seamers.

And then Kyle Raleigh was clearly sitting four seamer.

Maybe not in location necessarily, uh, 'cause I think Soriano missed a spot there, but Raleigh waiting for it, and he hammered that thing.

I mean, of all players that you don't wanna miss to, I feel like Raleigh in this particular ballpark, the guy you don't wanna miss to, even in a really not down year for him, 'cause it's, it's unquestionably been a disappointing year for him and the Mariners, but he hammered that bad boy.

Like, the, i- if the fastball's not your best pitch, you don't need to throw it 50% of the time.

And it, it's good that Kyle Raleigh, who was catching Cade Anderson that night, knew that, was moving the pitches around We know the quality is always going to be there.

Um, I think obviously you would like to see more whiff on the fastball.

He only got two whiffs on 15 swings.
