So this is me just saying, to kyle i recognize we want to have hope and change but if we're in a business that's failing and we're praying to god every single day you know we're in a business that's just costing millions and millions of dollars and just saying god please give us this please give us this this is so we can serve and if we're not doing it what do we do in those situations

So I want to answer your question with a story, my story.

So in 2014, my wife and I started dating and I'm going to leave out a whole lot of details here just for time's sake.

We started dating and let's see, we started dating in February, early March.

And by May, we had made a decision to go into business together.

And by August 1st, 2014, we opened up a florist in our very small town here in East Tennessee.

And my wife was a florist.

What would you say to that?

So I have to start have to start personally i have to start with my experience of how i'm certain that god exists i'm 53 years old i've got a huge i've got a huge as a matter of fact i want to read something real quick i wasn't even planning on this so i didn't have it i didn't have it marked in the scripture but i was doing a staff meeting we have a every time we do a staff meeting we have a devotion and our devotion This past Monday morning, I read the scripture.

This is in second Timothy, the apostle Paul writing to his kind of protege Timothy.

He says, for people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud.

demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to the form of godliness but denying its power.

19 characteristics in like two verses of those that are ungodly.

I read this and I'm like, oh my gosh, I tick all those boxes or me in my flesh, in my past, like looking at the last 53 years, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick on all these characteristics of the ungodly person.

Please make this clear for me.

Sometimes I question God like, hey, look why are you doing this or why is this happening other times i'm grateful for god but i always try to have god in my life yeah and you know i like watch the show the chosen at night time before i go to bed a lot of times maybe 15 minutes of it i have a bible i read on an ongoing basis but i only can take that in small little drags of like five or ten minutes to fully try to digest what i just read but But what is it for you? What does that routine look like?

So listen, you hit on a lot of big things there that I think are very important that maybe a lot of people that are wanting to walk, that have a desire to walk with the Lord.

Some of it's been taught wrong over the ages.

Some of it, we just look at it from our... fleshly our human perspective of what it is instead of looking at it or trying to look at it if you will from a godly perspective or whatever so let's start with this i want to back up one of the things that we do adam is we think we get convicted or whatever the word is that you want to use i need to include god in more of my life and i think we have to start with this It blows people away when I share this with them.

God does not want to be a part of your life.

God has no desire to be a part of your life.

What God wants you to do is to live your life in him.
