and then got into classical ballet, and that duality, I think, has followed me throughout my entire career as both dancer and maker.

I went to Chicago Academy for the Arts for high school, then I went to SUNY Purchase for my undergrad, got my BFA, then joined Kyle Abraham's AIM by Kyle Abraham, and that was my first job, and it was just as he was getting started.

From there, transition to David Dorfman Dance, then Bill T. Jones, Arnie Zane Company.

From Bill T. Jones, Arnie Zane Company, Hubbard Tree Dance Chicago.

Shortly after, I studied at SUNY Purchase, upstate New York.

Got my degree there shortly after I joined AIM by Kyle Abraham, so did a lot of growing up there, spent most of my 20s.

And at the same time, created work, choreographed.

I feel very encouraged by Kyle actually at my time there to create and had the ability to do so.
