Kurt Wagner

[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to Listen Carefully.

I'm your host, Nathan Jolly, and my guest today is Kurt Wagner, singer, songwriter, main person from Nashville band Lambchop, who have just released their 17th studio album, Punchin' The Clown.

We begin there.

Punchin' The Clown, very beautiful album, and I think the thing that jumps out straight away is the prominent use of all the harmonies and the call and response.

Um, I find that helps sort of steer me a little bit, um, as opposed to just sort of not giving a shit.

[laughs]

And that was Kurt Wagner of Lambchop.

And Lambchop's 17th album, Punching the Clown, is out now.

So you can go back and listen to those at listencarefully.com.au or wherever you listen to podcasts.

And my guest next week is Kurt Wagner from Lamb Chop.

They've just released their 17th studio album, which I'll talk to Kurt about.

Until then.
