I think when you think about the wolf side or whatever, I was thinking about this with Steph Curry, just for a quick sec.

I know the wolves passed on him twice, but like Kurt Rambis, I think is the worst NBA coach in the history of planet earth.

But sometimes where you get drafted matters.

And if Steph Curry comes in and Kurt Rambis is like, Hey, I want you to only take 20 foot mid ranges and you don't get to take all these threes.

Like, do you stunt a player's growth at an early age? Do you teach a puppy that, bad traits before it can become an adult and i think to cheryl's credit she let olivia be olivia in april may and june and that's why now come september she's the favorite of the second favorite to win mvp not rookie of the year that's done send that thing to mill clinic square she's a one of the two top people to be mvp and that testament to everyone in the organization but for cheryl to let her cook at an early age was really impressive

we'll never know, but I really wish we could peek into the alternate, like the older alternative reality where like Courtney Williams doesn't sign here.

When Kurt Rambis was the white power forward for the world champion Lakers, a bunch of teams said, we need a white power forward, right? There's these weird trends.

And so I just think that the game is constantly changing and moving, and it went small for a while and went overboard.

and now it's trending back to more size but part of that too is that we're getting these guys with size who can shoot threes like like wembie or you know cat or these guys who who can can provide both right the size and the and the shooting and and ball handling and but there's definitely more of an emphasis on size the last couple years than there was five six years ago

Rob is gonna, you know, remain as, uh, president of basketball operations and, uh, general manager.

Uh, Kurt Rambis is still, from what I'm told, his number two, and then you have the assistant general managers who kind of work from there, and then you have the people who work f- under them and, and, and so on and so forth.

Um, and I'm just kind of excited to see this build out, right? Like, to-

You've got Phil Chang as sort of the director of analytics.

So they have had sort of a crew in place.

And so Rambis is, my understanding of the Rambis relationship is he's just, like, the OG that's been around forever, and the, has a direct connection to Jeanie, right? And so she's like, he is the basketball person that Jeanie trusts the most on a personal level, not necessarily his basketball, you know, acumen.

But just, like, he knows basketball, but she really, really trusts him, and as we know, the trust is a big thing with, with Jeanie.

There was a long time, this was a complaint you've had as long as I've known you, is that the Lakers, pretty much everybody the Lakers had hired for quite some time had some previous tie to the Lakers, and that, you know, you wanted to see them sort of expand out into just hiring other people around the league.
