Künstlerroman

Okay.

As opposed to like a Kunstlerroman or whatever.

There's like a bunch of different.

It's like Swedish? What language is that? German.

[laughs] You know?

I'm teaching this semester my, one of my writing seminars is divir- designed around the Kunstlerroman, so like the Bildungsroman for artists.

And for their final paper, a critical essay, they need to pick a, a Kunstlerroman from a list.

Some of them are non-fiction, some of them are fiction, and then they are like doing their final paper on that and doing their final, um, report on that.

So I have like, you know, the usual heavy hitters like James Joyce, et cetera, and then some newer ones.
