KT Leveston

He damn near gave it.

He damn near handed it to KT Leveston a month ago.

Physically remain on the field for more than two or three days in a row.

It's mind-blowing.

600 snaps at right tackle and 1,000 at left tackle.

KT Leveston, a backup from Cleveland, Pittsburgh's familiar with.

Not a great player.

464 snaps at right tackle.

And I want to say this, and I'm going to ask you this, Eli, because we're talking about Ryan Howard.

I think about KT Leveston as a guy kind of like the similar mold.

You were in that locker room with KT.

This is a guy who really kind of didn't see the field his first few years, and then, boom, he's thrust into the starting spot, and he works through some things, figures it out, and now he's on an NFL roster.

Is that still kind of how you feel about that?

Yeah, I guess for me the biggest surprise was Zach Zinner beating out KT Leveston.

That was probably the biggest surprise.

Do you think he outplayed him? Or do you think it's for another reason? You think Zinner outplayed him?

And so – and then they keep guys on the roster – that they don't think will go through waivers.

So it's, they seem to be pretty good at it because they play this game where they cut a guy, they bring them back to cut like KT Leveston.

They must've felt pretty good that he wasn't going to get cut or claimed because, you know, I thought, okay, he's got some value, you know, he started and all that.

And yet they cut him and they brought him right back today.

Offensive line are 10 guys.

The biggest change is that KT Leveston doesn't make it.

So they decide to move on from Leveston.

It's a pretty steep fall off for him, but his preseason games were pretty rough.

But Wyatt Teller not playing that well for Houston.

I don't even think he's going to start for them.

You have KT Leveston's done.

Posick is in a battle to start.

So, you know, the offensive line room kind of ended up shaking out the way I think most of us thought it would.

They did, they did move on from KT Leveston, but that, that was kind of, that felt like that was in the offing with sort of how they tried him at guard and then moved him back to tackle.

So I, I guess that's the other interesting areas.

They keep the two,

Because if something happened to Elton Jenkins right away, I think they might have to go with the more experienced center.

So that's that.

And then I think, I think KT Leveston will probably end up on the practice squad.

If he doesn't get claimed off waivers, I could see him back here.

Of those five, the weakest link, obviously, is going to be the position that there's a roster battle for.

And more than Tevin Jenkins won the battle, I think KT Leveston lost it.

And KT Leveston didn't just lose the starting right guard spot.

He lost his roster spot.

KT Leveston's not making this roster.

Now, maybe he gets put through waivers onto the practice squad.

He will not be on the initial 53, not by my projection.

Tyree Phillips, gone.

The left side, you know, I don't think those are guys that are going to play much in those positions.

Leveston was a tackle.

Zinner was a guard.

You know, those are depth pieces that probably won't play in those spots much.

Yeah, that's probably a takeaway from that game.

You know, other than that, not a lot to get excited about in a preseason game because we just weren't playing guys that I think are going to contribute much this year.

Yeah, so going back to the offensive line, are you surprised at all that they didn't put, and this is not to say that they're not looking at DeJuan Jones as the backup at right tackle and Austin Barber as the backup at right guard, but are you surprised at all that they didn't put DeJuan Jones at left tackle? Austin Barber at right tackle and KT Leveston at left guard in that game? Did you see Leveston at guard? I guess they could have done anything.
