Kshama Sawant

We have an unusual guest in the second half of today's program.

Kshama Sawant, known to many of you because of her remarkable political history in the West Coast of the United States.

We're very pleased to have her on our program in the second half, the time when we normally do interviews.

I want to start today's program with some updates of the sort that we try to bring to an audience that might not otherwise hear about these things or see images surrounding them.

Before we jump into the second half of today's show, I wanted to thank you for your very generous response to our fundraising efforts this year, and in particular in the last couple of months.

Originally initiated in 2012 following findings of what they called excessive force and biased policing, the federal oversight concluded after the city invested 127 million of yours and my dollars in reforms, returning full control of police practices back to local authorities.

Was that a mistake? It birthed the defund the police movement in America, in my opinion, I can follow the money, and giving it back to local since public figures like Sawant back then, and Katie Wilson now as mayor, are incompetent, and the police chiefs have been a never-ending rotating clown car of, of DEI hires.

Stooges, basically.

So is the question whether termination was wrong or entering into the consent decree was wrong?
