okay So you know in Better Than Life, the cat, Kryten, Rimmer, and Talkie Toaster get sucked through a black hole, and they all briefly merge into one being, and they can all understand everyone else's minds? It's basically that, but somehow less horrifying.

Ugh.

Because if you're going to have a science fiction, if you're going to have a novelization of the new hit film, get Alan Dean Foster to write the novelization.

Now, he's also halfway through it, so, uh, I'll, I'll interrogate him more when he's read the whole thing.

I've got Chris Barrie obviously reading it to me, and he does a bang-up job with doing a Lister voice and a mechanoid voice, which is sort of like Kryten but not Kryten, uh, and so on.

His Holly's not so good.

[laughs] But he even has a different voice between Chris Barrie the narrator and Rimmer, which is quite interesting.

Like, that's, that's a lot, and I wanna go back to something classic.

Kryten, for p- your viewers and listeners that don't know, so Red Dwarf is a BBC comedy show that I was in for many years, and I played a robot in it.

A mechanoid to be accurate.

And I did a sort of robot walk.

I mean, I've always had an intimate relationship with electronic devices, but you know, those were a little bit alluring.
