Kristin Linklater

Okay

... uh, I'm, I'm an trained actor, and, um, I, I got voice training, uh, at school from one of the greatest, like, vocal coaches, uh, for actor in the world at the time, Kristin Linklater, who teaches, like, natural voice.

And, uh, that really was very transformative for me at the time because, um, uh, you know, her work, uh, basically revolves around, like, um, opening the voice so that it reflects, um, the deeper self and it reflects thoughts and emotions and, um, and connects breath to mind to soul, you know.

And so that was really a transformative journey for me and my voice.

But after about 10 years in the business, I got very drained and I knew it was time for a gear change.

So I got funding to go and study in America, and I studied with a woman called Kristen Linklater, but more importantly, a company called Shakespeare & Co, and who were working incredibly organically and honestly.

One of my customers there said to me, well, you're just lying, aren't you? Oh, wow.

I'm a good girl, but yeah, I understood then, you know, that was the beginning of my initiation into authentic voice.
