Kristen, let me start with you.

Walk us through the president's post and tell us what he's saying right now.

In the Oval Office, he was doing an event on health care, but there is a slew of reporters with him and it is likely that he will be asked specifically about this.

So that's the only thing like this in terms of precedent for the president coming forward, saying he's banning someone, in that case actually taking away the physical press pass that allowed Acosta access to the White House grounds.

In this case, we don't know, right? Is there a different kind of follow-up the president has in mind? Right now, there's been nothing.

And as Kristen just showed, the CNN team keeps reporting, which I think I can say this on Kristen's behalf, that's all she wants to do there today.

And all of this boils down to Trump comes out and says this, but it is unclear what the ban is actually going to mean in practice.

all put together an article, for example, from the Republican Midterm Convention in which the title is, quote, Trump vows $5,000 payments for all U.S. citizens if the GOP holds Congress in speech punctuated by false claims.

So looking at the article, kind of the latest breakdown, there's a ton of editorializing again in which they'll say, well, maybe the president is right here technically, but he's taking credit for something that doesn't have anything to do with him.
