Krems an der Donau

So these are vineyards along the Danube River in the far west of Niederösterreich or Lower Austria.

between the towns of Melk and Krems, goes about 33 kilometers or 21 miles along the river on either side.

The river is the Danube.

It starts in Germany.

Now you have a lot of different places that you can plant vineyards and you have to decide about orientation.

And I'll talk about that a little bit more about what kind of grapes you get given the orientation.

To the northeast, you may have heard of the Kremstal region.

They also make excellent Gruner Veltliner, good Riesling as well.
