And it wasn't even the top scoring ones, right? C-sharp and Kotlin were actually the top scoring as is.

Rust's main fallback was Debeck.

More broadly, I'd say push your toolchain maintainers on this.

If you work in Go, Python, Java, Kotlin, wherever, ask whether SBOM generation is on the roadmap for the canonical build tooling.

The conversation is happening in most of those communities, and external pressure from security practitioners helps.

Coming back to Laracon this year and your talk, Coding Under Fire, why this particular subject and why now?

Because I have been building software for a very long time and I do a lot of new builds, but I... inherit a lot of other people's code not just Laravel code but I've inherited dotnet projects and go and Kotlin and lots of PHP lots of symphony lots of Laravel and every time I inherit someone else's code there are things that I come across where I can understand exactly why someone has done this.

And yet from my experience, from my many years and my deep expeditions into the core code of Laravel, I know innately that the things they are doing are wrong and will fall over.

when they hit in just the right way with production.

The only thing now is a release candidate of a mailing app for Windows.

But on the side, while I was playing selfishly, as Warren put it, I converted chunk by chunk the ESP code to, other than the core of it, everything now is in Kotlin.

And also, it could add another voice engine for non-Latin languages, or it can be used as a multi-language switcher for other language voices as well.

And it works pretty cool.

And it went through all the phases.

Java, RxJava, Kotlin, Compose.

It went through the whole Android storyline.

And it started as... an itch to scratch.

As an example.

I do a lot in the Java, Kotlin, and Scala, like JVM spaces.

And so I have an MCP server for agents to be able to get documentation for the libraries that are in that ecosystem.

So, you know, the agent just calls my MCP server.

I primarily use it.

with JetBrains IDEs.

So I've been a long time JVM, Java, Scala Kotlin developer.

I love the JetBrains IDEs.

The demo mode will show you a dashboard that pops up and this dashboard will analyze your project and show all of the different characteristics.

So this is a really useful tool that has capabilities for Rust, for Python, also for TypeScript, and also for Kotlin.

that has a lot of uh hooked into other emerging languages and these kinds of deterministic tools are really the future of coding with agentic ai
