Kosovo Serbs

It's my pleasure as always to be here, uh, with you and to discuss Balkans.

Today, I would like to talk a little bit about the Kosovo Serbs or Serbs in Kosovo with some historical background going, uh, through the last decades, and, uh, to show to our listeners what have been changed in the last couple of decades regarding the, uh, status of the, the Serbs in Kosovo and, uh, what are the current developments.

Yes.

So we touched on that subject, uh, last time when we discussed the ongoing political crisis in, uh, Kosovo and how they cannot form a stable government.

Still, the crisis is ongoing, so, uh, nothing exactly changed.

And we, we can see the end of the crisis, uh, th- these days.

And, uh, also, uh, with the political, uh, crisis on the side, there are increasing, uh, tensions between, uh, Serbs and Albanians and between Belgrade and Pristina again.

It's a nonstop story which has, uh, very deep roots, going back, well, we can say going back way into 14th century and during the Battle of Kosovo Field and the subsequent Ottoman conquests.

So that's been troubling, but at the same time, we haven't seen any attacks on Kosovo Serb communities so far, and that had really been the major fear.
