Korokoro

Funny thing, you know, I should have met him in England, but I didn't, because he visited a house not very far away from where I lived.

And the people that he visited came to live on Korokoro, not far from where we had our shop.

And I still know those people today.

But I never met my husband until I came out to New Zealand.

We sold that five pounds worth of lollies and we went back and bought some more and we bought a few more and we sold that and that was how we started our business with a five pound note.

It was quite fantastic.

And the Korokoro school children, one of them is in the treasury at Lower Hutt now, and he came, he went to the Korokoro school, and he came and he said, now look here, Mrs. Huggins, it's my birthday today.
