That's where the Kootenay River meets the Columbia River.

It's something I've always wanted to do.

So we took a short trip to Radium BC and rafted with the folks from the Kootenay River Runners.

I also talked with one of their guides afterwards to get some insight on what they're all about and what they do.

I should say, though, it wasn't the crazy kind of rapids you see in the adventure videos on YouTube, but more of the softer rapids and calmer waters, the kind for beginners like me.

The scenery was amazing, the weather was beautiful, and our guides were the absolute best.
