A director and shareholder of Norden Ashanti Mine, Frederick Okain, has expressed shock over the recent takeover of the company's mining concession at Konongo by officers of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations.

Mr. Okain disclosed that the company had earlier written to the Lance Commission to seek clarification on the reported termination of its lease but had not received response before the takeover.

As he says, the situation has portrayed him as an unfaithful husband.
