The canon is that Monarch did not care about them, but they had enough time to create the Chicken Little Truman Show Sky Dome for Kong.

There he finds another giant ape, a smaller one, about as tall as his knee, named Suko.

So by the way, real quick, I know that the sizing is all off and you gave up on trying to keep it relative in your head.

Suko, the small child ape in this movie, is about the size of Kong in Kong Skull Island.

But it's one of those scenes, like, I see it, like, for example, they mimic that scene in Kong Skull Island.

And it's like, all right, yeah, we're 1970s playing Bad Moon Rising.

And then Godzilla King of the Monsters is the sequel to it that introduces Ghidorah, Rodan, Mothra.

And then Kong Skull Island, which is the Vietnam era origin of King Kong, which is King Kong.

movies were sequels like ever uh there's the japanese movies like japan eventually made their own official king kong you know movies where they licensed the rights to the character and made king kong versus godzilla in the late 60s i think is when that one came out and that's like a huge hit in japan uh and then they made a follow-up called king kong escapes which is like a unrelated to king kong versus godzilla but it's another japanese you know guy in a suit made king kong movie that one is totally absurd it feels like a saturday morning cartoon but in live action so it's totally ridiculous um I think in that one, King Kong gets kidnapped by a supervillain who wants to use him in some crazy scheme that makes absolutely no sense when you think about it.

Yeah, so there's those.

There's Kong Skull Island and then the new Godzilla vs. Kong, so...

I feel like for as long as the character's been around, there's a shockingly small amount of movies starring King Kong.
