Komische Oper Berlin

He was truly extraordinary, as was the production.

Now, I recently saw a production of that at the Tempelhofer Feld right in our very own backyard as presented by the Komische Oper and directed by Barrie Kosky.

That was also an extraordinarily good production.

It didn't move me as much as the Nederlandse Opera one did, but it was well done on all fronts.

Um, you mentioned some special projects, uh, that you're doing, like this Kino that you were doing, but there was one I found that looks really next level, and this is the Komische Oper in Berlin, where you ha-

Um, I AD'd Willy Decker on two productions.

Um, and then I also AD'd Harry Kupfer, whom of course I knew because I had been a child singer at the Komische Oper.

Um, and I learned a lot at these three, um, productions, but I think I also learned, I mean, this was really, like, I was in my late teens, early 20s, and I also learned that I didn't wanna go the route of the classic German assistant to a great master, you know, who does, um, ADing for five to 10 years and then hopes to get their own first production.

Like, I just- I didn't like it.
