Kōji Shiraishi

I'm like, I'll watch it soon.

You're like, oh, it's fun, isn't it? Koji Shiraishi,

son.

Koji Shiraishi.

But yeah, I thought that was a good couple there for, like I said, anyone.

I guarantee Slippy's seen them all though.

I mean, it's trite to say this is the ring, but I mean, I'm finding this pretty difficult to disentangle from it being the ring.

Well, this was created by a guy called Koji Shiraishi, who is a...

Mid-tier...

God, fuck that.

Is this how I finally

get you to watch Koji Shiraishi movies? Because she comes back a few years later in his best movie.

Okay.

I don't know, but yeah, I don't know where...

Now, it does not have an English title, as far as I can tell.

The Japanese title is Senditsu Kaiki File Kuwasugi, which I would translate as... terrifyingly scary too scary bio like it's a series of movies all directed by koji shiraishi and koji shiraishi is the name some people out there might know because he's kind of made his whole bag in the last like 25 years making scary movies specifically his his his forte seems to be found footage fake documentary that kind of thing um maybe maybe people out there have seen noroi noroi is like 2005 2006 yeah

it's a great film because it helps me teach they help it helps me teach the word curse to my students

so that's his but he's made a lot of movies in fact he made a movie that came out in japan last year and it's so real it's so recent it might still be coming to the u.s and theater soon i don't know um The title is either kinky, not like sexy kinky, like kinky the part of Japan, kinky where I live.

It's like, I love that.

So I haven't finished the series, but I've watched a good chunk of it.

And while I was in Tokyo, I bought another movie by Koji Shiraishi, which was apparently cobbled together from a streaming series he made that's already not streaming anymore.

So I'm looking forward to that one.

Last thing I'll mention, this is a new movie from last year.

This was directed by Koji Shiraishi, the guy who made Noroi, the curse that we talked about on the show as well.

This is his most recent movie called About a Place in the Kinky Region.

This is Japanese.
