Koinonia

Well, our church was trying to help a very large parish, you know, have community.

And so they decided to come up with this idea of kinonia groups.

Kinonia means fellowship in Greek.

Yeah.

So it was a once a month group.

And then number three, an empowerment to make decisions and judgments that lead to the will of God.

Koinonia, are we learning? Amen.

Now, the Holy Spirit, very clearly from scripture as we read in 1 Corinthians 12, the Holy Spirit is the primary source of discernment.

The Holy Spirit is the primary source of discernment.

You have said we're in the days of your power.

I align myself in the Spirit.

Koinonia, pray.

Our global family connecting online, pray.

It's often translated as fellowship.

You know, when I was in college, uh, I joined a club called Koinonia.

It was a, a, a club for Asian Americans in the campus.

And, uh, you know, we did a lot of things that other club members do.

"I heard a rumor they drink blood." [laughs] "Yeah, dude, they drink blood, and then they eat bread." That's what was going on in the day.

This, of course, is a reference to the Lord's Supper, communion, the Koinonia feast.

But all these rumors about the Christians because of their way of life, they weren't participating in the civic institutions of the day.

They said, "I, I, I live for a different kingdom." And so Rome and Jerusalem started to get scared.

We're still giving God thanks.

I want us to thank the Lord for the honor that He's given us to conclude, um, our first, the first edition of the Koinonia School of Ministry in UK.

[applause] We return this morning to the glory of God.

It was an exceptional time.

Are you ready to join me? Say thank you, Jesus, for the lives that were imparted, for the destinies that will never be the same, for the intelligence of the Word that was invested in God's people.

As a family, we are grateful.

Grateful for UK, grateful for our precious workers, grateful for the Koinonia family in UK, grateful for the School of Ministry.

In Jesus' mighty name we pray.

Luke 9:29-28:29, the Bible says, "As He prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered.

His raiment became white and glistering." It says, "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship," is the word koinōnia, the sharing together, the participation of the Spirit, it says, "To be with you." God desires fellowship with man.

God desires communion with man.

Hallelujah.

Let it be overturned.

Koinonia pray[slow music] Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Mercy that speaks death.

Mercy that speaks defeat.

Remember me.

Go ahead and pray.

And the Lord remembered Noah, and the Lord remembered Joshua Selman, and the Lord remembered Koinonia, and the Lord remembered your business, and the Lord remembered the sickness that is plaguing you.

[slow music] Hallelujah.

I want to say thank you to everybody.

First, our global family, the body of Christ, Koinonia UK, and the spiritual leadership across Europe, the pastors who came from everywhere, lent their voices.

I really want to say thank you to the workers who labored day and night [applause] and the body of Christ global, not just within Europe, who stood by us, praying for us, supporting us.

The pictures, the videos honestly do not do justice to what God did there.

It was a great time and, um, so for those of you who do not know, the General Assembly is our annual prophetic convergence of the entire Koinonia Global family for a time of teaching, a time of worship, a time of prayer, you know, and, um, as always is the third week of November.

So for this year it will be from the 18th to the 22nd.
