We finally just finished in our last episode, the last movie that we were basically three years late for, I think.

But here we are on time this year with a short from Horikoshi himself.

This is a one-shot, a horror one-shot that was a lot of fun, and it is called Quit Laughing Shijima.

It's super interesting.

So I don't know that it does enough to fit into that niche and then excel in that same space.

Yeah, I agree.

But I also don't think that it shows enough of Horikoshi's potential in the horror manga market.

Like, it kind of teases it.

We are talking about Kohei Horikoshi.

And for the last 10 years, his series, My Hero Academia, didn't just participate in the superhero medium in manga and anime.

It essentially defined it for an entire generation.

It wants more brightly colored spandex.

It wants more triumphant catchphrases.

So logically, when Horikoshi finally gets his drawing hand working again, when he puts pen to paper for the very first time since closing the book on a 10-year magnum opus, you would absolutely expect him to spin the block on superheroes.

You'd think maybe a side story or a sequel about the next generation of heroes.
