Crouch ended up sitting out after that really nasty Knoxville crash, but did come back to run the final two high limit weekends.

The Crouches appear to still have at least some of their own equipment as Casey Jedrzejc was in a car for them at Texas, a one car that looked a lot like the one that Crouch had raced previously.

Jedrzejc doesn't have a deal for next year, so interesting to see him paired up with the Crouches after he filled in at CJB for Brenham.

He started third in the high limit finale, finished sixth.

That was his second top 10 with the series this year after finishing eighth at Las Vegas back in March.

If you missed it last week, the Ophel family is shutting that team down after the season that ends a run that included three straight Knoxville track championships.

The press release said that McCarroll wants to talk with established teams looking for an experienced driver for a traveling program.

Since Santa Maria on August 20th, though, you know, and really starting at the Knoxville Nationals, he's been a lot better.

21 high limit starts, an average finish of 7.48, 10 top fives, 18 top tens.

That Kokomo win, he dominated there, led all 35 laps.

And nobody has more top tens.

And what I find interesting is how they got there because it wasn't just some big turnaround in one lap speed.

His average qualifying spot was eight before Knoxville and it's 8.38 after.

And he won six heats in both stretches.

Dude, when we were at, at Knoxville, Ripper was like, "Oh, it was awesome, like, I went home, mowed, uh, you know, hung out with the kids, like, did this and that." He's like, "I didn't get up here till, like, 4:00." Like, "Well, yeah, you live down the road." [laughs] So.

Yeah, when literally a block and a half down the road from Knoxville Raceway, like, it's crazy.

Was it a tune-up thing? Was there a couple things you wanted to try? I know you even mentioned in Victory Lane getting prepared for the Hockett-McMillan Memorial, but how important was that in the process of getting to Victory Lane Saturday night?

Um, so we actually ran the same setup that night as we ran all three nights, um, you know, at, at this last race there, um, minus little things here and there, obviously maybe shocks and a little bit of bar weight, whatnot, but, um, Yeah, it was huge.

It was huge for us to go there before Knoxville originally because I was building a new bar car for Knoxville and just wanted to kind of get reacclimated with the bar cars because we haven't ran, you know, a bar car in two and a half years or two years.

So, you know, and obviously, you know, I mean, they have some good competition, but we also knew we needed to get a little bit better.

as well as nosa and then next week will be the uh final fast race and it will also be the final all-star circuit of champions race as they have moved their mercer race from friday to saturday after the cancelization of the state line speedway race um the gladiators are still to be determined um nothing in the works for there don't know anything else um but let's go over some titles that have been handed out at the local level at Attica you had Cap Henry at Fremont you also had Cap Henry Learnerville you had AJ Flick Tri-City you had Bob Femley Trey Starks would win at Skagit.

Ryan Timms would win at Knoxville and Hussetts.

And Butler would also award Dan McCarron the points there.

So what does that mean? Well, there are still some local track titles to be handed out.
