The collision precipitated the fiery crash of a news helicopter in which three people were killed, including the pilot and a reporter for KMBC-TV.

In Washington, D.C., fencing has gone up around the main Kennedy Center a day after President Trump's aligned board voted to close the facility for renovations.

The fencing was added amid the ongoing fight over adding Trump's name to the building on social media.

Dozens of firefighters descended on the area.

First responders trying to clear the chaotic scene and that's when KMBC confirmed it was their chopper.

A camera on the helicopter was streaming live as it went down.

What I see in the video is vibration that certainly should not be there.

And that indicates that there was a possibility or probability that the helicopter was having a mechanical problem.

KMBC has identified those on board as reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marcineau.

The NTSB and FAA will investigate what caused the crash.

This morning, a man is in custody after being accused of armed robbery and barricading himself inside a northeast Fresno home for eight hours.
