Kleine Scheidegg

Right.

So we took the train from Lauterbrunnen up to Kleine Scheidegg, and as you're taking that train, you wanna sit on the right-hand side of the train so that you have the best views of Lauterbrunnen and all of the mountains in the background.

So then we transferred at Kleine Scheidegg, and then we were on the final train that takes us up to Jungfrau.

And by the time we got to the top, it was around, like, 10:10, 10:11, something like that.

So we did spend two hours at the top, but when you get to the top, there are several things to do.

So I would say a minimum of two hours at the top, but if you're gonna go to a restaurant or do some add-ons, then you're gonna need longer here.

So we got back on the train at about 12:20.

We had a 20-minute transfer in Kleine Scheidegg, and we got some really good pictures of the mountain scenery there.

You see different mountains, the Eiger, the Jungfrau, the valleys, the glaciers, and you're thinking, "There is no way that this is real life." But oh, there we were, and it was real.

After coming back down from the Royal Walk, I wanted to take another path down, a two-mile hike to a town called Kleine Scheidegg instead of just taking the gondola down.

It's a scenic hike along the ridge with spectacular views of the mountains, but then the clouds began to overtake the mountains and what was supposed to be a perfect hike, it was amazing, but the clouds interrupted the view just a bit.

I, I do believe it still was very much worth it.

But the walk through the Alps, yeah, that was the experience.

Walking along the ridge, hearing the cowbells rise up from down below, seeing the mountains and the valleys, and every few minutes you want to stop, not because you're tired, but because the view just looks different.

Once we reached Kleine Scheidegg, we took a train back down.

Well, we tried to take it all the way down.

With good connections, the complete journey takes around one and a half hours from Interlaken.

There is also a more trana- traditional route via Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, and Kleine Scheidegg.

It takes around 30 minutes longer, but the journey through the villages and Alpine landscape is beautiful.

If you have the time, my tip is to travel up one way and return by the other.

At the summit, the crown-shaped Royal View Platform rewards you with views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, as well as the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen Valley.

If you prefer a gentler walk with less climbing and more downhill sections, I recommend the Panorama Trail to Kleine Scheidegg.

The four-and-a-half-kilometer route takes around one hour and 20 minutes.
