Kitsilano Pool

We can all agree that libraries are good.

We can all agree that Kits Pool is at end of life and needs to be replaced, and that should be a focus.

We all agree that UBC, Western Canada's largest research center, still remains disconnected for Western Canada's largest employment center, and there's missed opportunities at capturing that IP that's laying dormant and connecting it with the entrepreneurs in the capital of our downt- downtown core.

That's what I thought we were doing at ABC, and that's what I'm trying to focus with this broad-based coalition that I've built here with the Vancouver Liberals this go around.

Yeah.

I'm just thinking, so you've mentioned, you know, the unifying kind of features of your campaign.

You know, potholes, libraries, revitalizing downtown, getting Kits Pool redone, which I think is, is sorely needed.

You've been on the campaign trail now for a couple weeks.

For example, you know, when, when it looked like Kits Pool was gonna be closed for good, w- we were a big hell no.

And we didn't even have jurisdiction because it was park board.

Um, and so we, we went around, and we got, uh, some experts who figured out a fix for it.

Um, my family, my mom came to Canada after spending two years in a refugee camp in Sudan.

We had some hard times growing up.

Um, I had no idea my family was poor because we had access to Kits pool.

We had Kits Beach and Jericho Beach.
