Kissing Christmas Goodbye

However, as I continued to read my way through these books, I realised that MC Beaton had fallen into a rather destructive stereotype where Agatha and other female characters in the books were concerned.

After Tony was introduced in Book 18, Kissing Christmas Goodbye, the older detective seemed to develop a very negative view where younger women were concerned.

This view built to the point where I found Agatha a particularly unpleasant character.

Frustrated at the fact that she is getting older, though she doesn't age in these books at all, and that is something I will touch on in a bit, she seems to turn a lot of her bitterness outward.
