Kiss the Ground

So, and that's been really fun.

But so I helped put, you know, we helped raise the first $50,000 for the film Kiss the Ground, which is streaming on Amazon.

And then we did Common Ground with Woody Harrelson and many, you know, Ian Somerhalder, many of the Hollywood celebrities.

I met these filmmakers, Josh, Rebecca, and I was just looking to do a film.

I handed them the baton and they ran with it and took it farther than I ever could have imagined.

mean, they were on CNN for eight minutes last week.

Wow.

Camera guy will kill us.

We did two movies so far, Kiss the Ground and Common Ground.

The third

film really focuses on this too, Ground Swell.

And then local soil was the one that I think Diane and I really collaborated on the final concept of a lot.

I had heard about Kiss the Ground and Common Ground, and I had been to a regenerative farm years ago in Costa Rica, and I was really fascinated about this plant.

older methodology of farming that's more in harmony with nature and you know regenerating soil and kind of better quality food and better for our health and all the things and obviously diane has a wealth of experience with food content so she really wanted to do a food show

Having reached everyone we need to, as Jason says, we need to reach the policymakers, the financiers, the implementers about the critical role of healthy soil and just how much we demand from it.

I do in the abstract, but what does it mean in practice?

So the interesting thing, so we've worked with a lot of these corporates and on their implementation of this, and they had the same question, right? Like the people in charge of the supply chains, I'm not going to name names, but there's one example that I know of somebody in charge of the entire corporate regenerative agriculture program who was made that because she watched Kiss the Ground the week before.

And she told people in the office about that documentary just randomly on, you know, like, hey, what did you do on the weekend? Why watch this thing? And then the announcement by the CEO came in that they're going to focus a lot on regenerative agriculture.

And then the manager said, you're the expert on regenerative agriculture, right? And she was like, I don't think so.

We can create all of our own food.

I was there in Climate Week in New York with Rylan from Kiss the Ground and Groundswell.

Amazing.

Not every dollar, 10% of every dollar.

But I was like, I'm just a 10% of every dollar goes to kiss the ground, which is because I'm really into the soil regeneration.

You've probably seen Six Inches of Soil, have you, and Kiss the Ground and things like that?

No, no, I haven't.

Oh, right.

So it's a three-part series, and they played the latest third part at Groundswell this year in the Big Top, which was called...

I think it's called Groundswell, actually.

But the first one was Kiss the Ground.

That's on Netflix.

You eat that broccoli, you would have a broccoli that's packed with these trace minerals.

But because our soils have been so over monocropped, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, please go watch a documentary called Kiss the Ground.

But because our soils are so depleted of minerals, these mineral f- deficiencies are starting to show up.

So with this one, what's fascinating, w- dove into some research that they are showing that the trace minerals, not the major ones, the trace minerals, are not only are they depleted in our soil, but they're in abundance in our oceans.
