Kirkliston

Just one microcosm.

I attend a Church of Scotland in Kirkliston, which is just outside Edinburgh.

It's one of the ones that's alive and kicking and growing.

Three years ago, we did not have a youth group.

We call him JW, Jew One is his name.

And he went to South Queensbury High School.

The children from Kirkliston go there because there isn't a high school in Kirkliston.

So

On Monday, May 1st, 1995, at about 5:00 in the afternoon, a call came in to the Lothian and Borders Police.

The caller was in Kirkliston, an area 10 miles west of the city of Edinburgh.

Francis Mooney and his teenage sons had been making the most of the bank holiday by hunting rabbits near Craig's Quarry, but their afternoon took a shocking turn when they discovered a man's body.

Francis rushed to a nearby farmhouse to raise the alarm.

But by the morning of Monday, May 1st, the entire family shared their mother's concern.

Agnes later said, "You could set your watch by Robert.

His routine was always the same A few hours after Robert Higgins was reported missing, his brother-in-law, Steve, heard a report on the evening news that a body had been found in Kirkliston.

It was only two and a half miles from where Robert lived.
