Um-So I pitched a pirate movie because I love pirate movies, and also, uh, King Arthur.

Oh, cool.

And so then I realized though as, 'cause I was gonna write it with Jerry Jewell- Yeah ... uh, Tim Curry was an amazing get.

Like, he was like our number one choice.

And Billy Connolly was my pitch for, for number one.

Oh, wow.

So let's just listen to Kirk Thatcher talk about what blew him away about Star Wars.

What to me was great about Star Wars, I loved Ray Harryhausen movies, I loved sci-fi, you know, Star Trek.

What blew me away, and still does about Star Wars, particularly the first one, is it was a lived-in universe.

It wasn't science fiction as this perfect future where everyone wears white and everything's perfect.

It was dirty.

There were weird robots.

The, the thing that still blows me away about it, and I, I talk about it at great length with anyone who'll listen, is that there were 8,000 stories going on.
