I'm wondering, like you said last week, are any of these people avatars now? Like, for real, I'm starting to wanting to look into that.

Yeah, so I don't know if any of our main cast is, but I am keeping an eye on some of the new players that are popping in, right? And we'll have a few of those to talk about in this recap for sure.

Now, um, as we head on to the next story, yesterday, um, I got the privilege to sit down with Kirk Franklin.

He did a private listening event for, uh, his new album, I Am What I Am, that will be out this fall.

Um, so I can't give you all the features and things like that, but what I can give you guys is an exclusive listen, um, to the conversation.

'Cause I'm like, I'm, I'm trying to throw the things that aren't there.

But we do have a, a audio from the, um, audience.

So we opened it up after we listened to all this music, and Kirk took us, Kirk Franklin took us to church.

Now, we normally check in behind the scenes of The Grind, but honestly today, I'm not even going to do that because I think this episode itself will be... full um and enough for you to use as your check-in um I was I was honored to sit in conversation with the Kirk Franklin um you know Grammy winning award winning gospel artist um but even bigger than the gospel artist Kirk Franklin for over 30 years now has been the soundtrack to our lives to our faith to our belief in in you know God higher powers and and all of the above and he has very vulnerably been a man that is imperfect in front of us a man that is a father a man that is a husband um the duality of Kirk Franklin and everything that he has brought to the gospel world and from the gospel world to the rest of the folk to everybody um I was gonna say to the secular world as my grandma would put it but I mean, he's broken through genres.

He's broken through religion and faith.

He speaks to people of all walks of life in a way that is very honest and encouraging and just full.

It can get a little deterring for people that are on this faith walk or on this journey in life to figure out even what their faith walk is.

But God in a relationship with God looks like.

But, you know, Kirk Franklin has been one of those people that has always been very open, open and honest about his journey and the things that he's experiencing.

And I think the world needs Kirk Franklin more than we even understand, especially in a time like this.
