Kirby's Adventure

I did get a chuckle though.

There was another site that after this went up, I forget which site it was, but they, they ran a thing, uh, where they were like, "Oh, even Kirby's leaning into the Zelda mania with the sword and the hat combo." And I'm like, "Uh, you mean the sword power-up from the, from Kirby's Adventure? Like, the second Kirby game ever?" [laughs]

[laughs] Right.

Which is in here, of course, 'cause it always is.

With the new Kirby announced, I'm really intrigued, but had never played any before this week.

I finished Kirby's Adventure for NES today and enjoyed it.

What other mainline titles should I check out?

I mean, there are several really good ones.

Don't go back to as much as I love Right Back At Ya because I freaking love Right Back At Ya.

I think we should do a new version, a new anime, a new Kirby Adventures, and you can just have both of them and you can just be like, this is just a different universe of Kirby.

Because you could argue these are different universes if you want, or you can argue they're all one universe.

It's really hard to do that with the anime, obviously, although the anime did kind of get included when it came to Mass Attack.

It's also quite large on screen because they wanted more detail on a very small screen, so you don't see much.

Um, and then actually just before I came out here and started recording, uh, the kids and I have been doing, uh, Kirby's Adventure, um, from the NES.

So, um, also my first time really playing a Kirby game, so having a, having a good time.

Nice.

Also, in addition to that, If you want to have an archive of every episode and mixtape, I would re-download everything because other episodes have been updated.

Because, for example, some old episodes, I think from maybe episode 15, some Kirby tracks from Kirby's Adventure were missing the intros to the tracks.

So I put them in, and I don't know, there's just some little updates like that, or also some updates where a track was sounding wrong or bad or something like that, or with, for example, Phantasy Star 2.

A lot of that stuff was fixed.

Which the...

You know, Kirby's Adventure did a little bit of that, but it was linear.

Whereas this is, um, you know, The Amazing Mirror was just a full-on multiplayer map.

And that's the thing, it was a multiplayer.

And then Mario 3 got MMC3, which allowed it all at the same time.

And it wasn't until Kirby's Adventure where they hid a lot of that glitchiness.

By that time, it was 1994 or whatever year Kirby's Adventure came out on the NES.

That's insane, man.

Um, they really were pumping those out quickly, um, is what I learned, um, by doing this research.

Top-selling games in the United States, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Super Mario Land 2, Kirby's Adventure.

In Japan, Street Fighter II, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Star Fox.

Uh, who was born in 1993? I, this, this part I didn't like doing.
