Kirby and the Forgotten Land

I mean, I...

Mouthful mode and aside, I really liked Forgotten Land.

As horrifying as that is, this feels like it is stepping from that starting point.

It's a lot like

I don't want to underemphasize how fucking big this world looks compared to even Forgotten Land.

and also compared to Odyssey on the one hand it's like yeah obviously Mario Odyssey is more open and kind of exploration based than 3D Land and 3D World but this is on a seemingly whole other scale of vastness and openness and so it kind of suggests I think they did a really great job within the limitations of making it Forgotten Land a 3D Land kind of thing but you know it'd be really interesting to see what they do with this bigger canvas i guess a lot of it seems to be about you know the the copy abilities and what they can do for

There's a couple things I'm looking at, and I go, you know, I meant to play another code, and, you know, like, that's a big one, and I never played...

I never played any of the Kirby's besides Forgotten Land, and yeah, Astro Chain seems okay.

So there's some stuff I might take a look at.

They are already sold out of some things, though.

if the star-crossed world dlc for kirby in the forgotten land which we'll talk about that later uh if that dlc came out for the nintendo switch one i just think it wouldn't run at all because it's a lot more visually intensive right so dlc made for the switch 2 is in the switch 2 edition yada yada yada yabba-dabba-dabba metro chameleon

Forgotten Land, I think, sold nearly 10 million units.

looks cool but also I thought that Kirby game looked awesome and as someone who really liked you know, Brooke and I played through Forgotten Land and really enjoyed that one the fact that they seem to be really taking this Seriously, and, like, no, we're going all out on, like, pushing this idea.

And again, you know, we are...

I'm assuming this is ultimately going to be a very Breath of the Wild-ization of Kirby exploring, using his powers.

You're just in a big, open world.

But...

I think what they did with Forgotten Land, if they take that, enhance that, and put it in an interesting area like that, it's a recipe for success.

Because the stuff you could do in Kirby Forgotten Land, I think, would...

The final announcement of the entire thing was the reveal of a brand-new Kirby game, Kirby and the World Beyond.

And this looks to be a sort of like fully open world kind of take on 3D Kirby, a follow up to Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which was, you know, 3D and open, but it was still level based.

And this seems to be kind of fully open world.

How is everybody feeling about this? Tony, are you are you in on this?

And yeah, they start off pretty easy.

But then they do build to some challenge.

So Forgotten Lands was a big hit in my household.

We loved it.

I don't know if you remember this last week when we were talking about, like, potential games that could be shown off at the Nintendo Direct.

And I said that Kirby and the Forgotten Land is one of my favorite Switch 1 games, and I was like, they just did DLC for it last year, and it seems like it's kind of right in that area where they could have another Kirby game.

And by God, we got it.

And they didn't flat out say it's the sequel to Forgotten Land, but it's got a lot of similarities to, like, visuals and graphically from Forgotten Land.

And I can't wait for this.

I think it's super cool.

And then they investigate and he cracks a hole in the wall and then they look out.

And like you said, it's literally like Breath of the Wild out there.
