Kiran Millwood Hargrave

Okay.

And I would also really like to read Almost Life by Kiran Millwood Hargrave, Yesteryear by Kari Claire Burke, and Body Language by Meg Harry, although I am hesitant to read Body Language by Meg Harry because if the trend of the rest of the year is anything to go by, it won't be good.

That's true.

First book by an author, loved.

We always start episodes with a bookish check-in, and Jen, what is something you've been reading?

I am reading Kiran Millwood Hargrave's Almost Life.

This is part of a different buddy read on Instagram, and I think it's going to be great for discussion.

It's a multi-decade book about two women.

The history is integrated in very smoothly, so it's not an obvious like plant, like, "Notice this historical fact." It's just a part of their lives.

But I did find that to be really interesting.

So yeah, that is Almost Life by Kiran Millwood Hargrave.

Oh, that sounds really interesting, Jen.
